Thank you so much for your beautiful web site! Steven and I met here last year. An advertisement of your web site appeared on the screen while I was writing an email for a cousin. So I typed my profile and attached my picture, not really expecting anything to happen, even quite skeptic about it. So I received so many letters and messages and I met several friends and they are all nice people. Days after, Steven sent me a quick message asking me why I picked the name "musicbox", so I viewed his profile and saw that sweet smile on his face, I had to reply. Soon we became good friends. We started sharing our faith experiences and how God has touched our lives. We exchanged emails and sent pictures to each other, talked over the phone and chat almost everyday. We were both so open to each other and our daily chats purified our intentions and motives. It has helped us define more our dreams and goals in this life. Our friendship grew deeper so we decided to meet and promised to have an open mind and heart as the will of God continues to unfold. We vowed to remain friends no matter what. The thought of meeting him was like meeting someone I have known for a very long time... And so the day came! He came all the way here to the Philippines from West Virginia, travelled half the globe for us to meet. And right there and then, we knew that it's love. God made a way for us! A miracle happened! We spent time together here in my native country and he met my family and friends. We made priceless memories that will forever remain in our hearts and they're pure and honest and lovely, simply beautiful! I can't stop thanking and praising God! Steven proposed last January 2003 at Lakawon Island, in the middle of the ocean here in the Philippines during one of our trips with the family and some friends. The moment was so perfect. Having had no "luck", or better yet, unsuccessful attempts in the past with long distance relationships, I was just a bit skeptical in trying my hand at a Christian site again. I figured that I would only end up meeting someone from a distant state. A little over a year ago, I had tried out ChristianCafe.com but to no avail. With that said, one day in mid December, I decided to try it out again with little hope that I would actually connect with someone. Low and behold, God seemed to have other plans, because as I was browsing profiles one day I received a quick message from someone. The interaction began. I was initially impressed with her physical appearance, but as I read further, what really stood out above all else was Debbie's Godly character...the very thing I desired most in someone I would pursue. Her passion for God's Word, love for children, a heart for the lost, also being a soccer player, and countless other things really caught my eye. We chatted for a little over a week, shortly thereafter began talking on the phone, and then after prayerful consideration decided it was time for me to go visit her. I live in Chicago, and she lives in New Jersey, so it wasn't just any short trip across town. That was at the end of December, and since then I have had the opportunity to fly out there twice more in about a one-month period. God has just blown us away with the way that we are able to encourage each other through the truth of His word. It's definitely a Proverbs experience ("As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another"). We get to share about the frustrations and joys of our work through text messages and phone conversations on a daily basis, and she's coming to Chicago in a week to visit me. The way HE has drawn us each individually closer to Christ in the time we've been together is the most exciting thing. We are just as excited with what God is doing not only in but also through our relationship. As we daily walk in obedience to the truth of His word, we are trusting that He will further guide us in the relationship He has SO blessed us with. The qualities I see in Debbie are unmatched, and I am truly grateful that God has brought her into my life!!! Once again, God has shown me that His sovereign plan destroys any thought that "luck" could possibly exist.

I am getting married on July 12th to an amazing man I met here almost exactly one year ago. In fact, my nickname for him is "Captain Amazing". When I was sick, he made homemade chicken soup, if I'm stressed, he'll pick me up for a moonlit drive to the beach, and on those rare occasions that I am discouraged or blue, he will hold me and tell me everything is going to be okay :) and he's a hopeless romantic. I just came out of a divorce in Nov. 2002 that was totally against my wishes/desires after being married for 22 yrs in my first and only marriage (I'm 42). While I'm in no position to even **remotely begin** seeing other ladies, I joined Christiancafe.com for pen pals and as a place to correspond with other ladies, simply to maybe be a "virtual" encourager via email only. I know they have been through some very traumatic times personally, and maybe there are some that flat don't trust men anymore. I guess my mission is to simply be real with them and exhibit Christlikeness in conversation with them, to show them that there are some men out there who desire very much to lead Godly lives despite the circumstances that the men find themselves in. The comfort level in the Cafe is warm and friendly. I enjoy "stopping in" in the evening hours. Internet "dating" has never really been my preference of choice for meeting people, so I approach this whole thing very cautiously out there. I only hope people's profile's reflect truly who they are, and not becoming a "sales pitch" atmosphere. The Lord delights in authenticity, and I focus on that. I love, love, LOVE your site! I love the fact that you can track what people are doing BECAUSE (not to stalk them, as you might imagine) it helps me "read the writing on the wall," if you know what I mean. If someone's read my mail/QM (quick message) and hasn't responded and been online several times since I've sent it, then I'm pretty sure they're not interested. And when they're online and I QM them and I see that they're browsing profiles or answering a QM (and it doesn't come to me), I know they're not focused on me. Although it stings a little, I'd rather know the truth.

I have met the Christian woman of my dreams and prayers! It all started back in August of 2002 when I became a member and started browsing the profiles. Of all the responses that I received, and I received many of them, one profile stuck in my mind. We started chatting and I told her that she was the only reason that I had renewed my membership. She "Instant Messaged" me back and said, "Thank you for finding me!" We continued to email and Sandra finally sent me her phone number. We had a wonderful visit. After about a month of talking on the phone and getting to know each other better, she was the first to ask when she could meet me. We set a meeting date of October 4th, 2002. When I met her at the airport, she was more beautiful than I had originally imagined! Her wonderful personality and contagious smile sent the message to my heart that this was the one. Because we live on opposite sides of the United States, we have since seen each other only 3 times, and I surprised her and proposed on January 16th of this year, the day before her birthday. She said "Yes," and our wedding date is set for October 4th, 2003, the day that we met. We talk every night on the phone, and before she goes to sleep I pray with her. I am one of the great cynics of your website, because I had convinced myself that it was just another site, with just a different name, that would produce the same results -"NADA". I want to thank the Lord for leading me to your site way back in October of 2001. In December of 2001 I started to correspond with Lana who was also a member at that time. We slowly built a friendship over the next seven months. Then last summer we started dating. I knew from the outset that Lana was the one God had for me, and boy was it hard waiting for Him to tell her. Through God's grace, we got engaged on January 11, 2003. We are getting married on August 23rd, 2003! For all those looking for a relationship heading towards marriage, my advice is to wait upon the Lord and let Him direct your steps. I was thinking that spending my life alone might not be so bad, considering the women I had been dating. I might actually have been better off. Impossible relationships, God's special gift to me, was impossible relationships. And so while I was on here, I sent a little quick note to a woman with the brightest, most incredible eyes I have ever seen. That was the beginning, since then, we have become inseparable, the word soulmates comes up quite often. And so on New Year's Eve, 2002, at a party on top of a hotel overlooking Union Plaza in downtown San Francisco, I asked her the question I had nearly lost hope I would ever ask again. I just knew this was going to be a problem. But he still was interested. Well, we conversed for about 2-3 months and he came to see me for my birthday which is in Jan. In April last year I 'stumbled' across ChristianCafe.com. I was searching for Christian poetry sites and when ChristianCafe.com came up I thought it was a site for 'posting' poetry, so I visited it. I was very disconcerted to discover that it was a 'dating' site. Curiosity took over though and I had a look around. Curious to see the kind of 'weirdos' that used the site (and to confirm what I thought I knew, that only perverts etc used sites like that) I posted my profile and did a very thorough search and one name was given to me. I emailed this man through the site and we began corresponding with each other. We were both very wary as we had been through particularly harrowing and painful divorces very recently (then). Peter lives in Australia and I live in New Zealand. Peter and I came to believe that God was calling us to be together in marriage and we were beginning to love each other deeply despite never having met in person. On the 8th of January Peter and his 9 year old daughter came to New Zealand to visit (I have 2 boys - 12 & 13). We just knew that God was telling us that we are 'right' for each other, and on the 14th of January we were engaged. We will be married in New Zealand on the 4th of July and will return to Australia to live at the end of the year. The best thing that has ever happened to me in the 41 years 2 weeks 10-1/2 hour before I found the one true "soul-mate" of my life, happened to me or "us" on this site! I (we) truly believe this site is anointed by the Holy Spirit to bring people together. She spent about a year and was about to give up looking and expecting "a man like me existed." I spent about three weeks here and "suddenly" (Acts 16:25-26) there was the answer to my Proverbs 31:10-31 "A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman - who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls." We both "know" in our "knowers" that this all is of God. We will "meet" in the "flesh" for Valentine's weekend because we have exhausted all other e-mail, snail-mail and esp. telephone (9 hrs per day) resources at our disposal.
